I don't mind ASCII characters as long as the OP arranges his/her question with parentheses, etc. with no ambiguity. People may not have the time to learn LaTeX.

Example:
x/(1+2x+x^2)


Non-example:
x/1 + 2x + x^100/20 + e^x
