I would also like to add that I am sceptical about the existence of a job that is 9-5 and pays 100k. However, I currently spend the hours between 10am and 5:30pm as a PhD student in my office working or attending lectures and seminars and other such things, but my "hours of work" would have to include my 45 minute commute, as well as most evenings and Saturday mornings.
