personally i do not like credit cards, but i agree. they are more convenient and have benefits if you use them wisely. the problem with credit cards, like money, is not the credit cards themselves. but the people that use them. but more than the people (because i'm sure there are good, upstanding people that get trapped in credit card debt) are the credit card companies. as topsquark pointed out, they worsten the situation on purpose. in a way, it is good for them if you become in debt and have to be paying fees and interest rather than just the actual money you use. that's how they make a profit from it. so are credit cards evil? no. but are the credit card companies evil? that is an almost certain yes. (the people are evil some of the time)
