Default Generating a fourier series for a collection of data points

Hi everyone

I'm not quite sure how to do this. I have the graph of a function and I want to generate an equation for it. Is there some online free site that I could just upload, say, a .csv file with the data points and have it generate a function for me? I suspect it has to be a fourier series.

thanks!
john

I have not seen a free site that will fit your need.
There are some inexpensive program packages available (probably at your local computer store).

Just wondering:
How was the graph generated?
How did you get the data points?

If you scaled the data points from the image, you will have a small error introduced into each data point; the resulting equation will not give an exact replica of your original.
If may be very close -- is that good enough?

If you have the data points, it should not be that difficult to fit a fourier series to it.

How many points in your .csv or .txt file?

Is this homework or a real problem? If this is a real problem post the graph, and your data here and I am sure someone will look at it for you (and some context would help as well, like where the graph came from, and what it represents, ...).
