Question Joint PMF Problem

A balanced coin is tossed twice. Let X and Y denote the smaller and larger of the two faces, respectively.
a)Find the PMF of X and Y
b) make a table of the marginal and joint PMFs of X and Y

This is just spadework. Use this table to get started: Dice table

If you need more help, please explain what you can do and say where you get stuck.

I'm lost, what do you mean larger of the two heads of a coin?
I know that Mr Fantasy has a big head, but surely you aren't talking about that.

If only my eyes were in relative proportion to my head ..... I completely misread the question and saw dice instead of coins. The problem is not even spadework now (assuming a value is assigned to heads and a value to tails), more like gardening.

I guess we'll know more when the OP replies.

Its meaning that X is the smallest and Y is the largest.
so if you rolled the first die and it was a 5 and the second was a 3 the joint pmf would be zero because X can't be larger than Y because its the smallest. Just needed to make sure I did my problem right. Thanks for you post
