Computing P-Value for Poisson and Bernoulli. Ok, this might be very easy but I am stumped. Find the P-Value in each case.
1. For testing H0: λ=1 against H1:λ>1 , X=3 where X~Poisson(λ)
2. For testing H0: λ=1 against H1:λ>1 , X1=3, X2=5 , X3=1 where Xi~Poisson(λ), independent.
3. For testing H0: p=.5 versus H1: p>.5 ,7 successes are observed out of 10 Bernoulli trials.
For #1, do I just look at the table of Poisson for λ=1 and x=3? I get 1-.981=.019 for that. Is that right? How about #2?
Thanks for any help. |
