Default Tilted ellipse in polar form

Hi!

I need to find all the points for which the tilted ellipse

0.4*x^2+y^2-x*y=10

and the ellipse

((x-4)^2)/4^2+((y-2)^2)/6^2=1

cross each other, and then plot them in matlab. I think I've found the points (with Newtons-Raphson), and managed to plot the second ellipse, but I don't know what to about the first one. A suggestion is to express the first one in polar form, but I don't know how. Any suggestions?
