I agree completely with MrF , When I am unable to solve a question ,mostly to see an answer, is like watching the end of the film and then making its story. This does at times give me a new way or a feeling that I have a better pathway, But actually with this step I find myself enclosed in a boundary(of that answer) and the steps that I make out are open to confusions and many a times are incorrect
Whereas watching the next/some steps most of the times helps me learn a step or two where I actually was stuck and hence clears the doubt that I had with that step of the complete ladder..

Have you read this thread completely?
And Btw moderating is a ruthless but thankless job , it doesn't really involve anything personal in it

The type of people in my industry are on this site and I cannot give this problem to the public. I have done much of the math myself, but I am no expert and the problem is becoming to complicated for me. His reply, well just post it. I then explained why I could not post it and said I will send you the problem so that you will understand what I am talking about. He refused to see the problem and continued to be this is a site for free answers to math problems.

But I don't understand, thats what I wanted, help.
I will add that an initial question posted by this user was written in such a way as to suggest it was a test question to establish the academic credentials of the members of MHF. It was implied that if the test question could be answered then certain members of MHF might be good enough to be given the real question. But the real question was secret and would not be posted.

All pm's between me and the OP were made available to the Helpers,, moderators and Administrators.

It's very simple: You want help with a question, post it. If you don't want to post it, then you're not going to get help. Very simple.
