questions "a" asks for the mean and standard deviation for c.

Isnt the mean 1.5? just (3+2+1+0 / 4 = 1.5)? Mr F says: This is only true if each value has the same probability of occuring.

What do you think the mean value of 1 and 11 is if the probability of 11 occuring is 0.99999 and the probability of 1 occurring is 0.00001 ....? Would you argue (1 + 11)/2 ....?

And my notes only reminded me of this, they are incomplete , Mr F says: ?

so if i did any of this right what should be my next step?

I also suggest trying to get a complete set of notes.

To the OP: No offence but this thread is going nowhere for the simple fact that you lack understanding of the basic tools necessary to answer the questions you have posted. You therefore have deeper problems that cannot be addressed in this thread.
