I'm trying to graph such things as 2^n, or n!, or n^2 etc. but really not sure how or if I even can for that matter. Looking to graph it for running time evaluations for computer algorithms btw. If not possible on the calculator does anyone know a web program or program I can download?

Did you try going into "Y=" and entering the functions, then pressing "Graph".

In your case, you would have to enter

Y = 2^X

and

Y = X^2.


Y = X! won't work.

I assume you are wanting to graph a sequence? If so you can just graph it as you would a function on the TI 83 and you will still have the same curve (it will just be solid). I think there is another way to do that, but I haven't used my calculator in a while and the batteries are dead so I can't check.

I would recommend using Geogebra to graph sequences. It a great FREE program that is cross compatible. It's java based so you can run it from the web or install it. Takes a while to get used to, but it does a great job at sequences. Here's the link: GeoGebra Hope it helps.

Note: The is a way to do factorials on a TI84, I don't know if the TI83 supports it.
