Default Vector Planes

Hi, just a question of vector planes.

The usual type of questions in the exam regarding planes are ones such as:

Quote:
Find the equation of the place passing through the points...
But in my exercise book there are also some worded like this:

Quote:
Find the equation of the place containing the points...
Just wondering is there any difference between these, because a place is just a 2D shape, so containing and passing through shouldn't make any difference should it?

Thanks

No, it shouldn't make a difference at all. If a plane passes through the points A, B and C, it means that the plane contains A, B and C. Just like a straight line.

By the way, what's with all the places?

I hope that helps.
