| | Latex for other programs? Is there any way to get other applications to use latex?
For example, I want to write a list of notes to study, and save on my computer as I inevitably lose them. Things like identities and properties, but I don't know of any way to get MSWord to write like this, so I end up typing them up on the site, hitting "preview" and then printscreening the page that comes up, and pasting the image into word. It is quite inefficient and unforgiving. So are there other programs for writing in "math speak"? Or mods that can be applied to programs?

| | Download the 30 day version of MathType for MS Word. If you have Word07, then there is already an advanced equation editor in there.

I tried doing that with my Calculus notes.

| | Why not just download Latex onto your computer? After you get used to it, you'll find it's better than Word, in virtually all respects. |

There is a LaTeX equation editor-oid add-in for Open Office.
