| | Hello, I'm mathbeing. I graduated from university this May with a major in mathematics and a minor in computer science. It was the dream of my heart to go to graduate school, but I was prevented by chronic illness. Now I am trying to find a new direction. At the moment I am working as much as I can as an online tutor and trying to start mathematical blog.
My favorite areas are logic, abstract algebra, and theory of computation.

| | Hello all! Hello all!
My name is Thanh Běnh, it means peaceful.
I'm a student from Việt Nam.
I found this website when looking for my assignment.
Special thank to ThePerfectHacker.
I think this is a good community to join. I hope to be able to learn from everyone here.
I also like the atmosphere in this forum, it's so different with what I often feel in my place. And this is the first time I join a foreign forum.
One more thing, my english is very bad. Hope you don't mind and show me the mistakes.
Now it's 2am, good bye, and wish you happy weekend! |

| | Newbie Saying Hi Hello, my name is Elizabeth. Thought I would come in here and introduce myself. After my art career took a nose dive I decided to quit art and go back to school. At age 25 if I don't go back now I'll probably never go. My plans for the future are to earn an associates in science at a local community college then hopefully transfer to a university. I want to get into something involving astronomy. I'm an amateur astronomer and I love science more than art. I know that science and mathematics go hand in hand, so I knew I would need some help along the way. I always loved science but hated math, and I knew that it wouldn't work out unless I learned to love math. So I have been independently teaching myself what I forgot I learned in high school algebra. Everyone learns in a different way and I always learned better by reading and studying on my own. So I do equations and some kind of mathematics everyday. I've made great strides with several books to guide me. I should be going back to school in the spring if I get financial aid in order. I know it won't be easy, but once I start something I always finish it, and that’s always been my frame of mind. I look forward to learning further on this site. |

| | Hi, I'm Sridhar from India. I'm a 12th grade student . I'm going to write IIT-JEE (probably the toughest exam in the world) next April. The subjects are Maths, Physics and Chemistry.
Anyways, this forum has been very good so far. I'm poor in Probability so maybe I can improve with some help from the members here. |

| | I suppose I haven't introduced myself formally.
My name is Mackenzie, and I've been stalking this forum for a while, and although I'm not genius level in mathematics, (ie. A's in high school, not so A's in university) it's still my university major. Seriously, how can one not love mathematics?!
Anyway, I hope to improve by exposing myself to more complex problems presented on this forum. |

| | Hi all.
Just wanted to introduce myself seeing as I've just found the forum whilst I was looking for calculus help.
I'm Dave, from the UK and have just gone to university as a mature student so I might be on here a fair bit, trying to brush up on my A level knowledge that has been neglected for the last 15 years or so!
So hi..... :-)
Dave. |

| | Hey everybody, I am currently a sophomore pure math major at University of Toledo. I'm also a philosophy major. I think my favorite area of math so far is algebra, but I've only taken a course in real analysis and one in abstract algebra. I also like to play the card game Magic the Gathering. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
