I would not place too much confidence in these figures just yet. It is still
only a small fraction of members who hit the thanks button, and the points
accumulated under the new regime are in general <10 for the names on this list.
When the system has been stable for some time and reps are over 100 then
the rankings might tell us something.

RonL | I doubt the distribution is fair. Many users don't "thank" at all and some do multiple times. For example, Engineer Adam recently thanked me 5 times on the same thread. There were 5 problems, but some people would only thank once at the end.

You too sometimes make complicated posts.

(By the way, in your signature you use the word "spiteth." This comes from the root "spite" and I think you wanted it to be "spit." The correct word would be spelled: "spitteth.")

My avatar is East Germany. Why I chose it is because I considered taking West Germany might get confused with Present Germany. I chose that flag during the World Cup (Since I watched on the Spanish channel they say it: "Cupa Mundail de La FiFa, Alemania, dos mini ses" ).
Before you joined the forum, the avatar that I had was of Dirichlet. One of my favorite mathemations. Why I chose him opposed to Fermat, Euler or Riemann I do not know. But he is one of the biggest number theorists from history (analyt ic version). It would be an honor to be blessed and gifted like him.

Before you came to the forum Captain Blank's avatar was a self-portiat. You should have seen it it was the funniest thing ever. He finally took it of.
Never, liked him. Nor do I like paino (pianist... ... funny word, say it fast).
I mostly like orchestra/violin (from old classical period). | no I joined before you changed from Dirichlet but after Captain Blank changed his.

these sentences should be explained more precisely:
An amateur is a man with widespread interests. If your are going to calculate the limit of amateurs interest, you'll find someone who know nothing about everything.
An expert is a man, who focus his interest on one subject more and more intensely. So finally he is a man, who know everything about nothing.
I hope I was of some help with these definitions |

RonL | And you've pulled in front.
Amazing, both you and PH have an average post count over 8 (you're catching up to PH too) |

that topsquark has a comparable current post rate to me and IPH. The
reported rates are biased down wards by lower rates in the past. (IPH
and myself have directly comparable post rates as we joined within days of
one another back last November)
I must say that I was surprised to find that I had pulled in front, its all
due to an abnormal number of thanks for the 15th October.
