| | Right or Left Brained?!? THE Right Brain vs Left Brain test ... do you see the dancer turning clockwise or anti-clockwise? If clockwise, then you use more of the right side of the brain and vice versa. Some research says that most of us would see the dancer turning anti-clockwise though you can try to focus and change the direction; see if you can do it. LEFT BRAIN FUNCTIONS-----RIGHT BRAIN FUNCTIONS uses logic-------------------uses feeling detail oriented--------------"big picture" oriented facts rule--------------------imagination rules words and language---------symbols and images present and past------------present and future math and science-----------philosophy & religion can comprehend------------can "get it" (i.e. meaning) knowing---------------------believes acknowledges---------------appreciates order/pattern perception---spatial perception knows object name---------knows object function reality based----------------fantasy based forms strategies-------------presents possibilities practical---------------------impetuous safe--------------------------risk taking I saw this test, and after looking at it for a while, I could willingly cause the dancer to switch directions. I guess that means I'm ambi-brained. Just something to think about. I also heard that you can tell if you're right- or left-brain oriented by clasping your hands together. If the left thumb overlaps your right thumb, you would be more right-brained and if your right thumb overlapped your left thumb, you would be more left brain oriented; probably, not too scientific.

I cant make it turn the clockwise. But the chart isn't so indicative of me. |

| | From your two tests, I'm right-brained. I can't see it turn counterclockwise. This is witchcraft I say. |

| | Initially, I only saw it rotating clockwise. Then I stared for a while till I fixed my sight at the pivot (her foot) about which the dancer rotates and "forced" my mind to rotate it in the opposite direction.
Like Mathstud, not all facts apply to me, but I'll take what I like. |

| | To me I have only a right side in my brain. Looking at the shadow, pivot leg or whatever I can't change her to turn clockwise.
Hahahahahhaha!!!!! now I can't get back her to turn clockwise!! How strange. I was right brained then left brained. I don't think I'm ambi-brained otherwise I could change whenever I'd want to.
This test is so strange.
OK. I just realized. To all those who cannot see her turn the other way. Close your eyes, reverse your head and open your eyes. Then still with opened eyes turn back to a normal head's position. Got it?

| | I can change it by focusing on the shadow rotating at the bottom.

| | Okay, I have always seen it turning clockwise for months. So I shouldn't be doing maths
I tried what arbolis said. So I saw it turning counterclockwise... Then it suddenly turned clockwise again
Edit : but my right thumb overlapped my left thumb. I'm full of contradictions

| | I initially saw it turning clockwise, but can make it switch direction as I like.
As for my thumbs, left overlaps right.
So what does this actually say about me then?
(The left side describes me way better though...)
