just because it seems that no matter how hard some people try (seriously, some kid in my class spent 2 hours trying to learn to factor and still doesn't know) they don't get it.
In otherwords: understanding > memorization
Although, of course: Hardwork + understanding > gifted |

| | I agree with the following inequalities:
understanding > memorization.
I disagree with the following inequalities:
giffted work
(Therefore by trichtonomy )
gifted > work
Because there are some people that never have to do any work because they already know it. Also many gifted people were lazy.
(That inequality is what parents and teachers say to make the average mortal feel happy, but that is not true). |

(That inequality is what parents and teachers say to make the average mortal feel happy, but that is not true). | I don't know why are you making this inequalities.
They are absurd to me.
There are many examples of gifted people with lot of a work and yet they haven't achieved anything special.
Your statement that "Because there are some people that never have to do any work because they already know it" is also absurd to me.
I will take example of W.A. Mozart. It's not related with math but great example for all people.
He is gifted because he had musical talent.
But he worked so much that hystorians proved that he actually died of too much work! That he didn't worked so much he wouldn't be greatest composer of all time.
How could he know for example to play piano and not only that but every aspect of music needed for composing only with his gift and without work as you say that gifted people already know?
Also goes for mathematicians. Same thing. |

(That inequality is what parents and teachers say to make the average mortal feel happy, but that is not true). | Your dividing people on average, stupid, smart... is full of disrespectfullness of people in general. Do you think you are God? |

If you seriously think that you are superhuman, then I can't help you until you find out yourself that you are average. |

| | i think tha too simlified reasonings are often uncorrect..think about that italian child, 10 year old genius if i'm not wrong, who has just developed a sort of system for the Apple, and has given the money he received to poor and exploited children... of course he is a genius but shouldn't he continue to study and improve his skills he might as well not use his "production capacity"(that is is gift), fully(you can't conceive anything in your mind before you read or get in touch with it at least once), which woud be stupid..then no longer genius | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
