This is painted from a photograph. I find it quite difficult to paint outdoors - too much wind and wobble!

Default Latest watercolour

Hello everyone -

Here's the latest watercolour painting. It's in a country house in Kent called Sissinghurst, owned by the National Trust.

I was there a couple of weeks ago, and thought as I passed by this doorway what a great subject it would make for a painting. I just took one photograph - not usually enough! - and I got the sun and the angle of the chair just about right!

Hope you like it.

Hello once again everyone!

Here's the latest effort, which I've painted as a birthday present for my younger daughter. These are her three dogs. Meg, on the left, is a black-and-tan cocker spaniel; Tilly is a sheltie (a Shetland sheep-dog) and the puppy is Pepsi, a sheltie-cocker cross. (Whether that makes her a celtie or a shocker, only time will tell.)
