Default Roof Paper In Mathematical Gazette

I expect that nobody is interested, but I will post this anyway:

I have recently had the attached paper accepted for publication in the Mathematical Gazette, maybe it will be of some interest to someone here.

I might even let you have sight of the other paper I am working on, which
is derived from something asked here (if/when it is accepted).

(incidentaly preparing these has reduced my presence here in the last couple
of weeks )

Honestly, no, I wasn't interested in the paper. But congrats on the publication!

"I must not fear. Fear is the mind killer. Fear is the little death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain." - The Litany Against Fear, "Dune" by Frank Herbert

So that is what you do during your free time, applied math, how embarassing.

(Did you put my name in there somewhere.)

While the paper was written in my time the actual thought was done at work
as part of a discussion at the tea room

(So we may conclude the substantive content was the result of less than
5 minutes thought)

The other paper which may be published is unadulterated Euclidean Geometry,
which may qualify as non-applied as Kant's notion that it self evidently is
the geometry of the space of physics and experience has been discredited.

Well the other paper has been accepted for publication in Mathematics in
School (MiS). This paper is derived from my answer to this question of Natasha's.

It seems that a paper dealing with this problem was published in the November
2005 edition of MiS by Chris Pritchard, this was just before Natasha's
question, and so I suppose her teacher got the problem from there.
Chris Pritchard's proof of the key result was substantially different from
mine (and nowhere near as neat ), so publication was on .
