I'm leaving tomorrow for a 3-day trip to Brussels, land of mussels.

That was cool , it was a really busy week-end, full of celebrations (including fireworks ), and with full stomachs...
And the famous Manneken pis was disguised... that was shocking to see him dressed in orange

Glad to have you back

You always take fun trips. That's the beauty of Europe. There's another country always down the road. It would take so very long for me to drive to the closest foreign country - Mexico (and I don't want to go there now). Yes, there are islands close to Florida but I don't have a boat.

Yes, strangely, I had been thinking about this
We, Europeans, are lucky to have many countries not too far from each other (you need 3 hours by car to go from Paris to Brussels).
But you have many states in the US. I've only visited 8 or a little more, and they looked quite various !
Although many cities are dead cities on Sundays lol. I don't really like it

And Europe may be more quaint than in the American continent, there are more small streets with pavements, old architectures, AND there are many more culinary specialities !!!! This makes the visit more enjoyable
