Hi,

What do you mean by "where to go" ? What kind of learning are you looking for ? Online learning ?

I'm currently learning in a class, studying writing, pronounciation, using pinyin, grammar. I've never tried online courses, but I've always thought that learning in class is better as you've got someone to correct your mistakes (mostly pronounciation)

No, I think one should wait for having more material before going to China. It would be worthless to go there to practice if you don't have any basis. You can't just understand the writings by staying there 1 month. That shouldn't be enough.
The other possibility is to have Chinese lessons there, for beginners. But again, what would be the advantage to taking lessons in your home country ?

Default Thanks guys

Thank you guys for your suggestions. I am thinking of going to China because I believe when you are threw into a language environment where you dont quite comfortable, you have to make sure you can "survive", which I think might "force" me learn better.

And I know that there are many Chinese who can speak good English now. I think language alone may not be the big problem for me.

There is way of learning something like experiential learning, maybe I can try.

I want find out a good program or language school who can help me...

Agreed. It's very true that the environment of learning makes a difference. I've heard from my girl friend that Beijing and Kunming are the two places in China having many learning language schools. She just completed her Mandarin learning from Minds Abroad at Kunming. I've visited that place. But regarding courses etc. I can't give you details. I need to ask her about that.
