| | Any poker players here? (free buy in to MHF tournament) Many of you might have heard me rant about poker here and there. I pretty much play for fun these days but I want to know if we could get enough interest to organize a MHF tournament on Poker Stars sometime. I can create a private event with a password for us. To be simple and the cheapest it would be a no limit hold 'em tournament with a $5.50 buy-in.

Who's in? | i play on full tilt. i used to play many, many hours each day, until i got sick of it. i still have a passion for NL texas hold em, i just don't have the time to play. under the name andrewthegreat i had over 10,000,000 play chips and eventually won a free roll and started to play with real money, mainly HU NLHE, until i lost it all and more. although if you get such a tournament together i will surely participate. |

I don't think this is the best way to use play chips though. You can actually sell them in large enough amounts. I think the going rate is $25 per 10 million.
I hope more people chirp in wanting to play, otherwise it will have to wait a while. I was thinking of something like donating half the winnings to MHF if I cash. This could turn into a fundraiser of sorts that way |

| | I've been building a bankroll on Full Tilt and Poker Stars. I initially won $2 in a freeroll on Full Tilt a month ago, and then Poker Stars gave me a free $2 to play with. From that, I have accumulated $24 so far. I would be interested in a tournament sometime, but $5.50 is too large for me to play with now, especially against you analytical players who are probably very good |

| | So it seems, including me, we have 3 people. Not enough. I will make a private tourney when we have 10+ people. Unfortunately $5.50 is the lowest buy-in possible for a custom tournament. Tell your friends about it.
Oh and if anyone who doesn't have a Poker Stars account wants to play, we might be able to work out some kind of deal where we trade funds through PayPal. |

| | Good update on this! PokerStars now allows custom private tournaments for as low as $1.10!
I am offering to buy in a maximum of 10 people if they agree to donate half their winnings to MHF. If you are interested in me staking you for this tournament, you must be an established member. No people who registered this or last month and no people who have a post count less than 50. You also must have at least some understanding of texas hold 'em and won't just be pressing random buttons.
Apply within or if you have your own Poker Stars account, sign up yourself. Let's get this going! |

If you want i'll search all the ppl who've ever started a poker themed thread on MHF and pm you their handles, maybe u can see if theres better conversion that way?
If not then everyone interested is more then welcome to come and post on my poker forum (just setup) and maybe we can get a game going over there... I can setup private games on Full Tilt as an affiliate. Dont have a PS account at mo but sure I can get a free no deposit account within 3 weekish....looks like ill be posting on here again! | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
