Default 12:34:56 7/8/09

For two split seconds on Wednesday, the clock and calendar will count up to nine. At 56 seconds past 12:34 a.m. and p.m. on July 8, 2009, the date and time will read 12:34:56 7/8/09.

Unless you think the proper order should be the day before the month. Then, the the 123456789 combination will occur 12:34:56 a.m., Aug. 7.

We have to make the 0 insignificant. Nobody would write today's date as 7/8/9. Would they?

When will this combination occur again?

Either in 81 years, when the date would be 7/8/90, or in 100 years when the date's 7/8/09 if you are discounting the zero?
