Default Comments on the books written by a great Mathematician

Hi , everyone

I have just borrowed two books from library and they are called Introduction to Analysis of the Infinite (BookI and BookII) , written by Leonhard Euler . I know his books are very famous so i think most of the members have already heard of these books .

what is your feelings and what have you learnt after reading these books ?

I would be surprised if many have read them.

You must have a terrific library.

Several years ago the funding for libraries was changed. Now, the money a library receives from state funds, is dependent upon circulation.

Previously, I could expect the library to be a repository for information. It kept the old books and repaired this as sometimes required. Now, the books with minimal or no circulation are discarded.

If your livelyhood depended on such a service, you would opt to buy a hundred copis of the story of Michael Jackson and NONE of Euler's works.

Unfortunately, but, that is the case.
