Default US is #? in Math!

I need to know how well the US is doing in math from a global perspective. Anybody have any idea how to track this information down with google? Ive tried and I keep coming up with interesting stuff, but it's not quite what I'm looking for... If you could post a reply and attach a link to somewhere that has this kind of info, I'd really appreciate it. I need some data and stats that are new and relevant. Thanks guys (and girls).

This is a good question and topic, VonNemo19, but it belongs in the Chat Room. Only post in the links forum if you have a new website to add to the list. However, you should notice now that you are approved to post new links

Thank you. I generally like to have the option to thank helpful members, that's why I put it there. People - i think (myself included) - like that reassurance that they will be thanked.

P.S. Thanks for the upgrade.

Lol India came 28th at INMO 2009.

However, I've heard that Indian kids generally test better at Math than their American counterparts.

The IMO results indicate the performance of the very best students (and the intensity of their national olympiad coaching programmes), but maybe a better indicator of overall national standards can be found here. If you scroll down far enough you'll eventually get to the USA.

(But you won't find the UK at all. For some reason, results for Britain were not available.)

I know...its so sad...

I don't get why the US would care less about its mathematics program in the elementary and secondary schools... ><
