Default Singal Processing - drawing the triangle function

Hi guys , I've an exam in a few weeks so I'll live here for a while (:
hope you won't mind .

I've a problem with the following question , I need to draw x_18(t) and
x_12(t) , but I don't know how . My lecturer posted his solution but it is not clear to me . Can you please explain how to that ? thanks
