Determine the amount of cardboard required to construct the box in squared centimetres. (Assume no overlap of cardboard.) | Hi sri340, These two problems look identical to me. I don't get it. Use V=lwh, and substitute what you know. 1 m = 100 cm 240000 = 100 X w X 60 Solve for w. We get 40 cm wide. Now we have: 2 panels (100 X 60) cm^2 = 2(6000) cm^2 = 12000 cm^2 2 panels (100 X 40) cm^2 = 2(4000) cm^2 = 8000 cm^2 2 panels (60 X 40) cm^2 = 2(2400) cm^2 = 4800 cm^2 Add 'em up.
