Default problems

on a 12x20 meters area, we want to install a sensor network to help the robot determine its position. Every sensor node emits a 360° radio signal which can be detected by the robot in up to 6 meters distance. By receiving a signal from one sensor node, the robot can only deduce its distance to that specific node.
How many sensor nodes are required so that a robot standing in the center of the field can determine it’s position without any ambiguities?

Hi!
I think that at any position, robot must receive signals from at least three different nodes to determine the position without ambiguity.
I would like to work how to place the sensors. For this tell me whether you want the robot to determine position near centre of the field or over the whole area of the field?

Thanks
Malay
