Default Question about getting Latex to work

Hi, i downloaded something called texnic center. But upon running it it said i need to specify the directory where the Latex.exe file is. So i downloaded the tex distribution from the miktex website but could not find the file entitled Latex.exe. I'm assuming this Latex.exe file should be on the tex distribution so do i have to download it again from somewhere else? Any suggestions would be much appreciated thanks.

Uninstall texnic and reinstall, it should then find everything it needs (though I would also install ghostview/ghostscript first)

If that does not work uninstall evrything and restart, installing GV/GS the MikTeX then TeXnic centre in that order.

The file location for the LaTeX files [once you've installed MiKTeX v2.*] is this:

Code:
C:\Program Files\MiKTeX 2.*\miktex\bin
(you may have to tweak this a little depending on the drive letter its in and other things...)

I have MiKTeX 2.7, so my file location was

Code:
C:\Program Files\MiKTeX 2.7\miktex\bin
Then continue on with the TeXnic Center setup
