Default Least Square Equations

Hi There, my question is on Least Square Equations. I have been looking over pages on the internet but thought that if I can work though an example I might get it quicker as these pages are not really making sense.

The question asked

"FIND THE LEAST SQUARE SOLUTION TO THE EQUATION"

Attached is the attempt of my question. Where i have stopped i am unsure of where to go to finish the problem.

Any help would be appreciated.

Matt
