Default Tsunami

If a tsunami started to the west of Mexico. How long will it take the tsunami, travelling at 200 m/s, to travel 900Km across the Pacific Ocean to reach Japan ?

Thanks, Chhoeuk

d = vt

So
t = d/v = (900 x 1000 m)/(200 m/s) = 4500 s

(Which is the same as t = 75 min or t = 1.25 hr)
