Default 3 \ 0.25 = ?

Hi

I have a question

When I am solving my home work I reach to:

S0.25 = 3

I want do 3 \ 0.25 to get "S"

When I write 3\0.25= on my calculator (CASIO fx-100S) it got me 12
that's mean 3\0.25=12

And when I write 3ab/c1ab/c4 it get me 3.25

I ask now what's the right way?!!

3ab/c1ab/c4 = 3ab/ab/4 = 3/1/4

3 ÷ 1/4 = 3 x 4 = 12

If you got 3.25, you must have accidently entered "+" instead of "\": 3+ 1/4= 3.25. I am not familiar with the Casio. Does your calculator have the "divide" symbol rather than "/"? You may have confused the two.
