Default Some quick questions

Work out the values of "m" and "n"

a) 5 8x5 4 = 5 m
DAM the superscript didnt work. The numbers that look in bold are powers.

b) I couldnt do this one without using that LaTeX thing, which I dont know how to use anyway, so I used paint!
It looks stupid I know, but it gets the job done.

Thanks.

Use the following rule :

\frac{a^b}{a^c}=a^{b-c}

Hmmm i didn't understand there were two questions ><

No, first one : a^b \times a^c=a^{b+c}

second one : \frac{a^b}{a^c}=a^{b-c}
