Just in case anyone is interested, Prof. Gowers recently started a project to attempt ``massively collaborative mathematics'' (start here). It's sort of being juggled back and forth between him and Prof. Tao on their blogs, but there's a lot of different participants. I think its really interesting, as a student, to see some of the idea going back and forth and how they develop. There' s a little wiki too, but I've lost the link...

Anyway, the question is about combinatorial lines in which is just three words with wildcards filled in with 1, 2, and 3 (eg: (111213)(221223)(331233) is a combinatorial line (with n=6) because you have (**12*3) with * replaced by 1,2,3 respectively). I don't know anything about it, really. Does anybody else, and what do think about the ideas going on over there? Do you think collaborative mathematics (in the spirit of Gower's post) is possibly right now? There's been a little attention given to elsewhere on the net and I just wanted to share :3 (a search didn't show its been posted before; sorry if it has).
