Default Substitution of variables in Mathematica

I have the expression:
(cx^2-c^3t^2)/6

For which I am trying to substitute
ct/x -> nu

To get
cx^2(1-nu^2)/6

Can easily do this by hand, but how would you do this in Mathematica?
