TexNicCenter is free and pretty easy to use. (I'm not sayin' that is the best.)

Krizalid, thank you but it says I need a LaTeX distribution?

You're expected to know that you require to install MikTeX first after installing TexNicCenter.

Yeah, but that's when you're using pictures.

First time when I worked with LaTeX, I only installed first two software.

Okay, I downloaded the huge MikTex file, and still I am out of luck. Is there an online LaTeX writer I could use? Basically, something similar to what we have here at MHF, but without anything else on the page. Similar to WYSIWYG (What you see is what you get) except the text editor just throws the output on to a blank white sheet.

Oh but you're totally missing the point! Latex is not a WYSIWYG word processor, it's a typesetting language (which can be considered as a programming language) that you write codes in and compile.

Actually, this is what makes Latex so powerful and easy to use. Once you get used to it, you can create portable documents that look much better than MS Word in a short time, without using those messy menus, options, right clicks etc..

Well, what do you want to do with Latex? Are you writing articles? Or do you just need little mathematical expressions in image format, like in this forum? If you're writing articles, you must install Latex to your pc and use an editor. Here, this will help you installing Miktex and Texniccenter. If you want to render math equation images, this site (or this site) is probably what you're looking for

Yes there is. It's called the Texer and you can find it on the Art of Problem Solving web site.

If you're only doing the odd equation it's fine. You type your LaTex, click submit, right click on the image, copy and paste it where you want it.

This would be a pain if you wanted to do much though.
