| | help with plotting curve Hi everyone. Have a bit of a math’s problem. It has a statistical context but thought it would be best to post here. I won’t put this problem into context initially just to give you a better idea of my problem (don’t think the actual formulas make much difference).
I want to plot a curve (y against x), say y=f(x) - where x=g(a), a=h(y) (i.e. there is a loop). I understand there is no way of writing this out explicitly but is there any way of plotting this curve maybe based on iteration or something similar to that. I am open to any suggestions, even those that involve simply finding individual points and connecting them or some sort of approximation. If you have something to contribution but are confused by below please contribute anyway.

Please see attachment for actual formulas | What's theta-hat? Also, seems you'd need to have a list of w_i to do the calculations. I can try to code it in Mathematica if you post some data and explain the theta-hat expression.
