Smile [SOLVED] Quadratic Trigonometric Equations

Hi,
I've studying for my math test today and found two questions that I couldn't figure out.
a) 3sinx + 3cos2x = 2
b) 2sec^2x -3 + tanx = 0

I've been trying to use the double identity for cos2x but nothing worked when I was trying to factor it. I know that I need to find the zeroes but I'm can't manage to factor it. Same with the second question.
I would really appreciate if you could show me how to factor them, I can solve it from there by myself.
Thanks a lot.

EDIT: I managed to solve them both... apparently I had to use the quadratic formula
Thanks anyways.
