My fourth grader got this problem: Using all four of the numbers 8, 4, 2, 1 in this order make equations that equal 0 through 10. We may use the operations +, -, x and division in any order and any number of times. We have managed to find equations that equal 0 through 7, but we are having problems finding the last 3 equations that equal 8, 9 and 10. Help??

8 = 8 x (4/2-1)
9 = 8 + 4 - 2 - 1
10 = (8 + 4 - 2) x 1

If brackets not allowed:
8: 8/2 + 4/1

10: 8/1 + 4 - 2
