What common term can you factor out of the two parts of your polynomial?

Hey! He can do it himself! Answering it for him won't help him on a test.

Ben - (I assume that's your name), how about this question?

Solve the following quadratic by factoring:

x^2+8x and

x^2-4

Well yes but I think sometimes its better to give the answer... when I get the answer I always study it before writing it down, so I understand it!

Knowledge is more important than imagination sometimes!

Point noted. But giving away an answer isn't knowledge. For him, it's copying down numbers that may or may not make sense. You have the power to help people actually learn!

I'd love to discuss this topic with you, but I don't think this is the right forum.

EDIT: Natasha! You sly person. Those were for Ben. Tsk tsk tsk. You just want to solve everything huh?

Also, you missed the first one. Watch your signs!
