$Default$ 7th grade math problem???

3/7 of 56 = n

I took 3/7 = 0.428571 and timed it by 56 and got 23.999998. rounded to 24, n= 24 is this right?

Please help...

$\frac{3}{7}\cdot 56=n$

to multiply them together rewrite 56 as a fraction over 1

$\frac{3}{7}\cdot \frac{56}{1}=n$

$\frac{3 \cdot 56}{7 \cdot 1}=n$

$\overbrace{\frac{3 \cdot \not {56}}{\not 7 \cdot 1}}^{8}=n$

$3 \cdot 8=24=n$
