The discriminant of 0 = a + bx +cx^5, c is not equal to 0, is c?State true or false?Give reason?

Is "discriminant" defined for equations of degree 5?

DIscriminant for cubic function is =
-4b3d + b2C2 -4ac3 +18abcd - 27 a2d2

Yes, but you wrote 0 = a + bx +cx^5, which is rather 0=a+bx+cx^3 isn't it ?

The discriminant of mx^3+nx^2+px+q=0 is n^2p^2-4mp^3-4n^3q-27m^2q^2+18mnpq

Here, m=c, n=0, p=b and q=a.
Thus the discriminant is :
-4cb^3-27c^2a^2
=c(-4b^3-27ca^2)

But I don't quite understand your question...
