I think I am getting this! But before I get excited, please check while I apply it to one of the problems:

8w^10
------
2w^4

?= 4w^6

Maybe it's not quite right, but I am on the way. Now explain where I am going wrong if you please.

Default I have returned

Okay, I have returned...

With 2x^6 multiplied by 5x / 10x^4,
I so far have
2g^6

Is this end of simplifying? I cannot see any other ways to do so.

As for:

2x^6 multiplied by 5x, divided by 10x^4
I got x^3

Is this right?

Are you still there?

So... Umm...

This would then be: 2^2 X g^4 ?

yes...but don't you find writing 2^2 to be awkward?

Is that the end of that? Where do I go from there? I am not sure about the 2. And well yes, it is awkward, but I don't know how to do it otherwise. Remember I am new please.

are you not aware of what integer powers mean? 2^2 = 2*2 = 4

3^2 = 3*3 = 9

4^2 = 4*4 = 16

etc

see the pattern? the power 2 says multiply something by itself.

now try the other problems, i'm going to leave soon

I don't know... Is the denominator d^43^3?

4 X (g^2)^2 <<< What do I do with these twos?
