I found this simplification, but I'm not understanding how they came up with mn - 3n

simplify:
2m^2n - 6mn
____________
2m

= 2m^2n - 6mn
______ ______
2m 2m

= mn - 3n

$\frac{2m^2n-6mn}{2m} = \frac{2m^2n}{2m}-\frac{6mn}{2m}$

$= \frac{\color{red}2m\color{black}\times m \times n}{\color{red}2m}- \frac{\color{red}2m\color{black}\times 3 \times n}{\color{red}2m}$

$= mn -3n$
