There are a few differences such as:

cot 60 degrees is either 1/square root 3 or square root 3/3

which is the right one or what should be used when filling out a table such as those ones?

cot(\frac{\pi}{3}) = \frac{1}{\sqrt3} this is the general form
since cot(\frac{\pi}{6}) = \sqrt3 which is the inverse

however

\frac{\sqrt3}{3}  \frac{\sqrt3}{\sqrt3} = \frac{3}{3\sqrt3} = \frac{1}{\sqrt3}

so they both have the same value

hope this helps

Talking

yes, both are correct

however use the one in charts first
unless there is some reason to do otherwise..

mostly the reason for this is that more you use the functions
you refer to what is memorized...

the general form of course can be modified to have the same value in many ways
