How do I find the equivalent sine function for y = cos(x+pi/8)

$sin(x) = cos(x - \pi / 2)$

Hence
$cos(x + \pi / 8) = cos(x - \pi / 2 + 5 \pi / 8) = sin(x + 5 \pi / 8)$
