you'd try "derive" it's helpful too

Once again quote what you are refering to so we can make sense of your post.

Also DERIVE is no longer officially available it has been replaces by TI-Nspire, so any copies you do find are old stock or illegal.

Also the opensource Maxima is a very good substitute and with the WxWidgets front end: wxMaxima it has a nice interface for the non-expert.
